Just some observations:
- Even political bloggers are bitching about it. The Atlantic's Matthew Yglesias thinks it's a producer-driven conspiracy. And that seems to make sense to me - Rich, Steph and Antonia in the top three? Just look for an hour of good feelings among the three contestants. Not good TV. But throw Lisa in there instead? Great TV!
- One commenter on said Atlantic blog links to an article in the New York Daily News where Lisa says, and I quote (italics mine):

- Calling her ugly is mean and uncalled for, and I dare say sexist, or at least juvenile. But since she's an asshole and acts like one, that's what she should be called out on.
- When all's said and done, she's still not as bad as Spike.

Well, for one thing, Lisa is *not* ugly, so that is definitely mean spirited and uncalled for. And I think that people who watch Top Chef have some interest in food in general, so while they may not be able to afford her food, they can certainly appreciate what goes into creating it. She has a bad attitude, pure and simple. And often people can't recognize that in themselves.
Although I picked on him a lot, I don't agree that Spike is worse than Lisa. He's just extremely immature.
It seems that a lot of chefs in this year's top chefs had strong attitudes and a lack of respect for the judges. Part of that is probably that they are already successful chefs, but you would think they would show a little more respect and not take constructive criticism of their cooking as a personal attack.
Being ugly is the LEAST of her problems...

Too True. As some said, she backed her way in by just not-losing
But, deserving or not, Lisa has a lot in common with previous TC winners - I posted some alarming stats about it on my blog, but I warn you, they point toward Lisa as the eventual winner!...
