I have a lengthy post/column about the tug-of-war for my supermarket dollars coming up. I just wish Giant's pros outweighed the shopping center's cons.
Actually, believe it or not, Giant's in Waverly has much more selections than the one just "re-opened" that you and your buddy raved about. That d*nmed store doesn't even sell a can of butter beans without sauce in it. That's a BAD thing.
APS: Actually, I'm not quite sure how "It is amazing. (full stop)" is a "rave" as you put it. (And did you read Dan's comment?) I was amazed at the sheer size of the new Giant. But true, just like every other Giant I've ever been in - including Anneslie, Catonsville, and (yes) Waverly - it doesn't have as much as some other supermarket chains. Of course, we're not all lucky enough to shop at Wegman's, so we make do with Giant. But I suppose I had to be clearer: the SIZE of Giant is amazing.
I'm just a guy from Baltimore who likes to try out old and new restaurants and recipes. That's all you really need to know. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading about my escapades as much as I enjoyed being on them! If you would like to contact me, please use the Comments feature - it's so fast! Note: anonymous comments are very welcome, as are negative comments. Anonymous negative comments, however, will be deleted with gleeful abandon (here's why). If you have a critique about something, back it up with an identity, please. But please note: racist, sexist or otherwise bigoted comments will be rejected whether they are anonymous or not.
