The Dark Side... of Sandra Lee?

I know I have indulged in the Sandra Lee bashing here lately. So maybe I should feel bad after hearing this interview Michel Martin, host of NPR's Tell Me More program, did on Tuesday with Lee and the Mocha Moms. Here's the link to all 17 minutes of the interview. It's all about her tragic and impoverished upbringing.

Okay, I do feel a little bad. That and it does explain why she uses so much crap in her recipes - use what ya have!

But her recipes still suck.

I have this dream that someone offers a whack-a-mole game with live moles. But they aren't moles but Paula Dean, Sandra Lee, Rachel Ray and Ina Garten. (I have a stong suspicion that Paula Dean is really from Hoboken because that is the worst contrived accent ever) And you don't use a whacker in this game but a large brick of frozen butter.

Somebody needs to sue the Food Network for contributing to lousy food choices and the growing obesity problem.

I knew about her past from her Chefography (all I can say is Kraft Kurtains) and I still find her extremely annoying. My husband and I can't stand her and her tablescapes. Her recipes never look appetizing to me either. You have to give her props for her industriousness but I'm glad others feel the same way.

My Halloween Spiders are better than hers! LOL!

I don't watch her much, but I like that she made something of herself despite her difficult past. I can respect that, even if I don't like the food -

I am an MD native! :)
But live in FL now.

Welcome to The Foodie Blogroll!

Queen: Hey, funny how it all comes back to the Old Line State, hmmm? Thanks!
