National PBJ Day!?
And just after I got over the madcap craziness that was National Pi Day. Now it's the day to celebrate that official, quintessentially American sandwich, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This comes from Serious Eats (a food site), via the Atlantic's Daily Dish (not a food site).

Wow...I celebrated and didn't even know it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great holiday...lol
Yum. PBJ. I had one last week. I must have been celebrating early. Strangely, when I was a kid, I didn't like PBJ, but I did by the time I was in high school. In our hs school cafeteria, you could get a bag lunch instead of the hot lunch, and the bag lunches had the best PBJ sandwiches, ever. They were double layered.
ReplyDeleteOoohoohoo, I had a double-layered PBJ sandwich as a child. Yummmmmm...
